Excellent, highly recommended. They made my mum's birthday unforgettable. Very affordable prices for one of the best dining experiences in London. I've been a handful of times and it's always great. Excellent food and atmosphere but the best thing about Sarastro is the staff. They go above and beyond to make sure customers have a good experience. Unlike other London restaurants they have chosen to keep prices affordable despite their popularity which helps with a very informal and fun atmosphere.

Now this is one hell of an experience. The place is named after a character in Mozart's Magic flute - a sorcerer who has a magical palace and this place is a magical dining experience. Unique decor with good food, Sarastro has to be experienced. Live music also features with some celebrity entertainment. Lovely evening, great for groups and romantic couples. They have opera stalls for seating on a mezzanine level. Just all lovely stuff. A guy brings over flowers..but it's not part of the restaurant offering (it should be)

There are no words to describe this restaurant. It is an experience. It's a feast for your eyes, your stomach, tongue and ears. We where there on Th hand sooner was amazing. There was dancing singing and a merry time was had by all patrons. Service is superb. Food was fantastic. Wine splendid. If you come to London you have to go! Prices are not too expensive for the experience of five star service, food, entertainment compared to other London establishments. * Make note of loos/toilets; there are special one that are PG for youngsters, ✝ or puritains. Standard ladies & gents is filled with NC17 art.

The first time I went (as part of a large group) the service was great, food awesome and live music was playing in the background (to which we ended up dancing). During my second visit (table of two), we were not impressed by the service and a waiter who seemed disinterested and absent, perhaps even angry with something judging by the look on his face. Food was good still and the decor is quirky so I’m sure we’ll be back.

Food was great (starter), theatrical environment amazing, good vibe BUT management, at least during my visit, was very poor. I was waiting for much more than half and hour for our main course since we finished our starter. Every time we asked for our main we were asked to wait 2 minutes, we then asked to cancel it and the manager blamed us for not being patient claiming we should expect to wait that much for our food and that this was the normal waiting time for any restaurant. It was on a Thursday evening and the restaurant was very quiet. In the end the manager was fair, cancelling and not charging for the mains which we never had. However, what was supposed to be a pleasant visit turned into frustration and upsetting for having to argue. People sitting next to us also complained about the same issue. I hope this was an one off situation and that management can be reviewed since it is such a nice place.
