They serve ice cream, dessert and light meal/salad. Pay at the cashier first, then take the ticket to the order counter. Dine-in is charged a few which is dependent on the food ordered. The champagne ice cream was unexpectedly refreshing. Free toilet available.

Gorgeous place - one of the most beautiful bars in Rome - but I feel the fame gets the best of it. Ice cream are great, but hardly exceptional; the service is not the most polite, either. If you add the slightly higher prices to the mix, you might want to reconsider...

Excellent Gelato and many flavors to try. Quick Service. If you are near pantheon, try this place instead of going to to some touristy spot close to pantheon. Cone is better than cup.

An institution. Ice cream is a bit overrated, there's better ice cream in Rome but still worth to visit Giolitti even if it's just for the experience. Be ready to line up outside. You have to buy a ticket by the door before moving to the ice cream counter where you fight with other visitors for the staffs attention. You have the option of adding whipped cream on top, good with or without (really depends of what flavors you choose)

My dear friend and I visited Rome in early June. While walking about we stumbled upon Giolitti. The first time was a positive experience, great and flavor gelato. The second time not so much....we found the waiters to be extremely rude. After purchasing cones which cost the upwards of 5 to 6 Euro we sat down in the dining area to enjoy our treat. Not soon after we were told by a waiter that that area was for “paying customers.” What were we??? Chopped liver? Moreover waiter was rude and better gelato can be found elsewhere (also friendlier waiters!)
