Venice is so cool to see. Be a tourist and take a gondola ride and truly experience it. It'll be filled with people, and the sidewalks are narrow, but it's still so fun to take it all in. But I think 1 day is enough
Using the water taxi's is the way to see the best of the comings and goings of the Grand Canal. The taxi numbering system can be a bit confusing, but who cares if you get on a wrong taxi and go somewhere you didn't know about. It is all a wonderful experience to explore the 2 mile wide island of Venice! Get a day pass and have some wonderful trips!
Loved to see a broader water body of Venice. Seen crazy tourists waving at each other in excitement. Very crowded during day time
Picturesque. Beautiful. Water taxi driver could be a little more congenial and helpful.
As a contractor in Vincenza, Italy, Venice is just a short train ride. Although it was the 1st weekend of February 2015, we should have checked the tidal charts, as San Marco square was under 10 inches of water. It is though, an enchanting city where you can wander the back alleys and discover all kinds of little treasures.
