Great hiking. I’m partial since I live right at the base of Runyon, so if you don’t, the parking is a hard to find, especially on the weekends. They also have a few water fountains along the paths. Recommend coming first thing in the morning before the crowds.
PLEASE if you come, bring your own reusable water bottle and not take a single-use plastic container that most likely will just be dumped in the ocean.
This is a good hike! There is a dog trail and plenty of dogs running around. Most dogs are off leash, so beware if your dog doesn’t like other dogs or are aggressive.
The main trail is a really good hike. Pretty steady incline for 2/3 of the hike, but there is a super steep stair-like section.
Definitely recommend going earlier on the morning. We went at around 8 and had trouble finding parking. It got super hot as it got closer to 11. Super sunny so wear sun block!
Great place for a weekend morning hike. You can do a long or short hike in the park. Dog friendly. Make sure you bring plenty of water for your dog, as there are no water fountains on your trail. Breathtaking views of Los Angeles skyline and the Hollywood sign. But very few trees and no shade. Hot on sunny days. Overall a must for hikers!
I absolutely loved it!!!! If I remember correctly there are about 3 main trails you can take and I opted to do the '2nd level trail' of the 3 with my bro and pup in tow. It was fun and hot!!!! But most importantly it was wonderful, challenging and oh so very rewarding. If you're looking for a fairly challenging hike this may be a great place to head. If you make the right turns you may have to climb down some paths and maybe you'll get lucky and maybe even slide down one😋🤔 Either way kick on your hiking boots, a cap, some shades, and that ever so blessed H2O and enjoy the view darlings!
Great park... You can start at the bottom for a serious workout or from the top for more gentle stroll with amazing views. Bring your dog too. Only problem is that due to popularity, parking can be a bear during certain days & hours.
