This is the best war memorial I have ever been too. I was in the military for 8 years and seen many different types. This by far made me feel so somber. They even had a recent replica of the world cup disaster back in 2002. This place is huge. I recommend giving it at least two hours to visit. It's free too! It has all the names of the over 170000 people who died fighting for this country. I would have taken more pictures but I felt it would have been very disrespectful

Great museum (free entry to buildings and grounds) that should not be missed in Seoul. It is about 4 bus stops from Seoul Station and is very easy to get to - the bus stops right outside. It goes through the history of Korea's battles from the age of Khans to the Korean war and UN work. It recognizes the work of Korea and their allies. Great artifacts, very well put together building and flow. The grounds have some amazing sculptures to look at and learn about. There is also a very large number of tanks, missiles, and aircraft outside to look at. They have a replica navy vessel outside that you can go on board, which shows the scars of an attack on it by North Korea. We went with 3 kids and they really enjoyed looking outside at the vehicles but also enjoyed the computers and artifacts inside (all under 5 years old.) They have very nice baby friendly facilities as well. Don't miss it!

This museum is incredible! Not only it's free for entry but also has lots of vending machines for visitors. I have to say this is the only museum with lots of effort from government in terms of investment and it's free to enter. How great is that? The best way to let visitors know the history of the country. Kudos!
