Great restaurant! Our Florentine Steak, sides, and wine were amazing and so was the service. It was quick and courteous. Also, I left my sunglasses on the table, and the waiter ran down the street to return them to me. A line will start to form around dinner opening time, so be sure to make a reservation or get there early because they allow some in without reservations. This was our favorite restaurant in Florence, and I highly recommend it!

I live in Orlando and this place is more Disney then Disney. We showed up at 715 and got in the reservation line and at 729 a Japanese tour group showed up and got in before anyone that was waiting. We got crammed into a room that looked like it should hold half the people that sat in it. Service was luck of the draw, if the room server came to you first, you where in luck if not you waited until he finally came around. The steak was big and that’s the only positive I have for that, served very rare which was not a huge issue to us but some other tables where not fans. Also if you get hot easy dress appropriately, when your packed in tight it gets warm and AC had a tough time in early June. The Pros of the experience where 10 euro bottles of decent table wine and the side dishes where very good. I read a review that compared this to a cattle call and I wish I had listened because we waited to have a Florentine T-Bone because this was supposed to be the spot and it was more tourist trap. We have been in Tuscany / Florence for over a week and this was the first bad dinner we have had so we are still way ahead. Good luck!

Not too sure about what others rave about this place...we booked our table for 2 for 7:30 and were impressed by the long queue that had formed outside. We were herded inside like cattle, shoved into a table at one of the corners and then the service tool their sweet time to bring their menu for us to look at. As we didn't order the Florentine steak, we believe that our food was overpriced for what it was. 14€ for a slightly undercooked and over-salted chiclen thigh, 6€ for grilled vegetables and 7€ for a very good but tiny serving of bean and barley soup doesn't sound like good value for money to me. I would say that there are better restaurants in Florence and that this place might be falling victim to its own success.

Most delicious steak I’ve ever had! They serve Florentine steak to perfection and anyone who visits Florence HAS to go to Il Latini. It’s a very homestyle restaurant that was packed to the brim with people. It’s not the most romantic setting in terms of atmosphere as it was brightly lit and we were closely sandwiched in between two other tables. We got the appetizer sampler and the 1.2 kg steak and it was plenty to feed two people. They also serve an excellent house wine that will pair well with the steaks! They had quick, efficient service. This is a MUST if you want to have authentic Florentine food.

On one hand, the Florentine steak was delicious - perfectly cooked (rare), huge, and charred crispy. On the other hand, we felt more like a heard of cattle than the steak we were eating. The restaurant was full of Americans, and we were all hearded to tight tables immediately for the 7:30 sitting, and the whole affair, from order, to bread baskets, to food delivery, felt like a factory process. I've gotten more personalised attention and seen more character at a McDonald's. Also, while the steak was good, everything else (sides, pasta, bread, dessert) were mediocre at best. If you're looking for an efficient steak, this place is fine, but if you want a bit of culture, stay away.
