As a historic entrance to old Prague, the Powder Tower is a majestic sight. After the building of new Prague, the Powder Tower was used to store gunpowder as a central depot for the city. It is the only gate left standing going into old Prague. The other gates did not survive.

I love towers in Prague since each of them provides unique and beautiful view. What I really liked about this place was that it wasn't busy at all and I could enjoy the view not disturbed by crowds.

Just more of Prague's amazing architecture, on the edge slightly and a little quieter. Worth the visit, a really nice chased cafe sits around the corner which is welcomed on a hot summers day

This is an older part of Prague. Narrow streets and beautiful old buildings. All in good repair and the streets are clean.

Great commentaries. Interesting history of the place. But don't expect too much. It's still 'just' a gothic tower. Overall better than expected from my experience. (I'd love to see 3D model of king's court here some day in the future.)
