The Hellenic Parliament (Greek: Βουλή των Ελλήνων, "Parliament of the Hellenes", transliterated Voulí ton Ellínon) is the parliament of Greece, located in the Old Royal Palace, overlooking Syntagma Square in Athens. The Parliament is the supreme democratic institution that represents the citizens through an elected body of Members of Parliament (MPs). It is a unicameral legislature of 300 members, elected for a four-year term. During 1844–63 and 1927–35 the parliament was bicameral with an upper house, the Senate, and a lower house, the Chamber of Deputies, which retained the name Vouli. Several important Greek statesmen have served as Speakers of the Hellenic Parliament.

The Greek parliament at Sintagma square. A nice event that a visitor may watch is the changing of the guard. Many mass meetings are performed from time to time to this area with citizens requests. Except the case which someone wants to join one of them, the visit is better to be avoided on a mass meeting day.

DOV:28August2016 Greek Parliament House / Parliament of Hellenes is old Royal Palace built in 1843. You can see the structural quality of the royal house there with the beauty of Greek architecture. It has undergone many renovations. There is beautiful orange garden just opposite to the parliament where you can sit and relax. Also there will be continuous demo of the security guards in front of the Greek parliament which is fabulous to watch!!

It is located on Sintagma Square, in the seamity of the city center. The building is the impozant, and there are always guards in the front. Evening when it is lit is most impressive.
