Soil can be bought more cheaply from local farms in no-name bags that have been mixed on-site, but depending on what you're shopping for and how much you're getting you may find that it's an easier and cheaper trip to go home from the Flower Market in a GOGO van. Some of the bigger garden shops offer membership discounts for larger purchases, however are unlikely to give any leeway in the sale price, whereas small shops and stalls may be more flexible on price or even allow haggling. If you are looking for seed stock of western fruits and vegetables in particular this is the best place for it.

A place where you can shop all the flowers. Shops are small but it is so convenient that you don't have to waste time going here and there. A good tourist attraction.

Well worth a short walking tour if you are a tourist visiting HK. There's a bird market , too right next to the flower market, and plenty of excellent local restaurants on Fa Yuen Street a block away.

Everything to do with plants and flowers can be found here, composts, pots, seasonal flowers, cut flowers, bouquets, orchids, fruit trees, water lilies, succulents, cactus, bonsai... you name it they will have it. Probably cheaper than anywhere else in HKG but pricey compared to Europe/ Taiwan/ Thailand, as everything is imported and the market is dominated by a few big stores.
