Perfectly sublime, next to the “old”500 at The Saxon , now Dale Luke Roberts , the Marble Restaurant surpasses the rest of the “quality”. Funnily enough, it’s the original chef of “500” who created, owns and runs this amazing est. Though the premise of the menu is open flame, wood fired meals, predominantly catering to the carnivores; this little vegetarian was certainly not feeling hard done by and was spoilt for choice in trying to decide on what to order. Meals were beautifully presented and service staff couldn’t have been more attentive, personable and interesting . Ambience gets full marks as well and as we partook on this occasion for a Friday lunch, there was that expectant buzz of “weekend coming”. One would think that such a large est could have the feel of a barn in atmosphere, but no, being cleverly sectioned off for private dining areas , outdoor patios, bar areas , at no stage did you get that “empty” feel. It’s certainly not a cheap eats place, but for my mind , you definitely get what you pay for , an amazing experience and exquisite food.
