This is truly one of the landmarks in Verona, it's amazing how history attracts tourists. Restrooms are available at 1€ or à little less, variety of restaurants and statues of iconic people the likes of Dante Alighieri etc mostly graves of Christ Disciples. It's scary yet very interesting to read about such. No parking though, the roads are too narrow but plenty reliable public transport etc

Important landmark in Verona. It was the former centre of power in Verona. Around the beautiful square all important main buildings of the former city government, including the court and the seat of power of the Scaliger family, are located. A large statue by the famous Italian poet Dante Alighieri has dominated the square since 1865 and gave the square the nickname “Piazza Dante".

Beautiful small square in the heart of the old town. It's just set off a busier square so the caffes and restaurants feel more quaint. Beautiful to sit and enjoy a drink at night or food at one of the Caffe/restaurants.

I liked being outside people watching while enjoying a bite to eat!
A piazza that dates from the Middle Age and is in the historical center of a very interesting city deserves to be seen. Also known as Piazza Dante (after all, there's a statue of the great writer there), it's framed by beautiful buildings and arcades.
