This photo is from 16 years ago, as my toddler son and I passed through magnificent Hotel de Ville plaza on the morning of September 11, 2001. You can see by the clock on the facade that few in Paris knew what was happening back in NY. All Paris and France embraced us that week, when phones, bank machines, fax lines and travel were down. This square is one of the heartbeats of Paris, a key thoroughfare that you walk from the right to left bank a few times a day. The news stands at the BHV corner are my favs. Sit and absorb the daily cadence of life in Paris here. A beautiful, historic, mesmerizing spot to cherish.

Stunning building. Beautiful city hall befitting a beautiful city! Sometimes they have a carousel out front. Last night there was a spectacular concert celebrating Paris getting the 2024 Olympics. Outside It is often The center of some sort of art or musical thing. Always filled with people regardless . Walk from here to Notre Dame.

What a splendid structure. Really enjoyed my visit there. The photos speaks for themselves.
One of the most beautiful Parisian squares. And I have great memories here :)
