I love this beautiful place. Took the cable car up and hiked the rest of the mountain by foot. This 599m mountain is easy for hiking and sight seeing. There are 2 Buddhist temples there. Amazing.

It was early autumn but the leaves were already beautiful!
From the station, head to the big route signboard and choose your routes. I will recommend tough route as there are so many visitors on the main, easy routes. So pick the tough one, and climb down by easy route, or if you are to enjoy scenery, go for gondola.
There are shops at the peak, washrooms, and the famous soba shop. It is best to bring your own water bottles.
A beautiful place with nearby open field right next to the museum where you can take nice photos with the hills as a backdrop. I would suggest to take trail 1 up and down as well. We tried trail 4 on our way down and the trail was very slippery due to the rain previously. Some parts of the trail was so narrow and slippery you may really fall off the cliff and say sayonara... I had to squat and walked like a crab while hanging on to roots of trees for those narrow trail. It was amazing I came out alive. Whew. Was the view of the suspension bridge worth it? I don't know...
Have been to this place sometime back. Completed two trails also. Could not remember the no though. Nice 1day trip from Tokyo
高尾山 (タカオサン ) is situated at 八王子市。 I took Route 1 and reached the peak of Takaoshan (599.15 m). If you are lucky enough, you can see the stunning "關東の富士見100景" at the peak! 😄
